2017 LOGO COMPETITION WINNER

Congratulations to Hal Tedeschi for winning the U-Con @ UConn 2017 Logo Competition. After executive board and third party judging including experts in the field and previous U-Con @ UConn artists, we have decided to name Hal Tedeschi as our 2017 U-Con @ UConn official artist. Hal will be hired by the U-Con @ UConn Board of Directors and their work will be the theme of the 2017 U-Con @ UConn convention.

Hal Tedeschi is a freshman here at UConn. They are an illustration major and have been interested in art all their life. In 2013, they attended their first comic convention, and began cosplaying shortly after. This community has helped Hal grow as an artist and as a person, and they are always looking forward to picking up new tricks and techniques to use in their art. Creating things is Hal's passion, and they are most interested in improving their skills in drawing and costume making.

Congratulations again to Hal!!

Parking!

For those of you not on campus/driving up:
Parking is available for the convention!
There is free weekend parking in any lettered parking lot on campus (other than S lot). Please be wary of the signs designating which lots you are allowed to park in as to not get ticketed. These lots are between a five and ten minute walk to the student union depending on which you park in. I personally recommend X Lot, as it is the closest to event. A map of them can be found here: http://park.uconn.edu/files/parkmap.pdf

There is one parking garage that is open on the weekends, however they do charge an hourly fee. South Garage is attached to the Coop, and is a short walk from the student union. More information on that can be found here, and it it's location is shown on the previous parking map: http://park.uconn.edu/visitor.html

There is a basketball game Sunday so there will be a $10 or $15 flat fee to park

Cosplay Contest

If you are interested in the Cosplay Contest please check out the Main Events page located here.
